Here at LunaSea Games, we know times are tough. You spent all of your hard-earned ducats going to E3, on energy drinks while you waited in line to get your hands on an iPhone 3GS, then collected spare change from under the cushions on your couch to get yourself a couple of new apps. Life is hard.

We understand. We’re here for you.

So, for the next few days, we’re going to offer you a once-in-a-lifetime (OK, once this month) opportunity. From now until 5PM PST on Monday, June 29, 2009, we want you to tell us your hard-luck story. Tell us why you’re broke and why you deserve a copy of our hard-charging castle defense game: BATTLE SHOCK.

Here’s how it works: Using Twitter, in 140 characters or less, tweet @LunaSeaGames why you’re destitute and deserving of a free copy of our game. Be funny. Be REALLY funny. From Friday, June 26 through Monday, June 29, LunaSea’s development team will listen to your hard-luck stories and decide which are the worthiest. Creativity, abject poverty and, of course, COMEDY will win out (tell your friends that retweets carry some weight, too!)

The five best answers (as determined by a panel of experts in the field of video game development, not to mention belt-tightening) will win their very own copy of Battle Shock. I just finished submitting the new version of Battle Shock to Apple. This update will include:

* Now track your progress with High Scores!
* Improved graphics
* The castle can no longer be damaged by the plasma ball

There’s a lot more to come too!

This is a big milestone for our team. Aside from making a great game, It’s important to get the right exposure on the App Store. There are a bunch of good games that get passed by because no one knows they exist.

Stay tuned for more updates. As the community builds we’ll definitely be more vocal about the additions that are coming to the game.
